Syllable will be a reliable and easy-to-use GPLed operating system for the home and small office user. It already has a full GUI, a network stack, a wide range of drivers, and many applications, and it boots like lightning. More info @ syllable.org.

This page aims to provide Syllable images for use in VMware. I only have the free VMware Player at my disposal, so that is the only 100% supported VMware application. (Note that VMware Player images are exactly the same as the VMware Workstation images, so they will (probably)work on VMware Workstation etc... ;)) The images available here are only tested on VMware Player on Windows at the moment.
Update: I've tested these images on Linux (Arch Linux to be precise...) and they work :) (I did not test the networking part yet...)
