- Further to the upload of the Apple A/UX 3.0.1 image, here is actually documented
how to create a bootable installation cd and how to install Apple A/UX:
http://www.aux-penelope.com/software.htm [external].
- I've uploaded some NeXT hardware and software documentation:
The 33MHz NeXT Color Slab Motherboard Schematics
(README).
The 33MHz NeXT Cube Motherboard Schematics
(README).
The Signal Cross Reference for Circuit for the NeXT Turbo Cube
(README).

NEXTSTEP 3.3 Developer Documentation and
NEXTSTEP 3.3 Network and System Administration. I did not convert those 2

- Apparently, there were some problems with the permissions of the images in the online version
of the DIGITAL Personal Workstation System Reference and Maintenance Guide for a/au-Series. You
can view this document online:
here.
- Added some old A/UX documentation. A/UX is a version of UNIX developed by Apple Computer for the
Macintosh. Check it out:
Server Administration With A/UX 3.0.1, A/UX
Basic Skills and
Tuning Server Perfomance and Adding Internal Drives. If you want to know more about A/UX, check
the wikipedia [external]
article and http://www.aux-penelope.com/
[external].
- I had to look up some documentation about the Data General AViiON machines, but there
are not a lot of original manuals out there. The only manual I found was this document:
Operating AViiON 9500 Series Computers and a
couple of websites (see the links section "Data General Aviion").
- I acquired an original NeXTSTEP 3.3 for Sparc & PA-Risc CD-ROM (picture). If I find the time someday, I'm going to try it on my
SparcStation 20.
- Updated the hardware pages further.
October 11th, 2005...

notes as I figure out various things on different platforms, operating systems, etc... To
have them in one place, I add them to these pages... I'll try to keep them updated :)
Anyways, first thing: Enable orinoco monitor mode
on Slackware 10.2.
